PEPETAPIA - DOS TRISTES TIGRES. NMR130

The band is a one man project recorded at home, its meant to be "egoless" therefore there's no real credits in the album. Fast music, cultural banalism and Chilean urban folklore of the 21st century

The band is named after a viral chilean video from like 15 years ago of a chilean falling off his bike trying to do a trick over a dirt ramp, the camera kid laughs at him and keeps recording while he's in pain on the floor. The narrative in the album is through a fictional answer from the kid to the cameraman but mixed with trash pop culture of early 2000's in Chile. A quite bizarre period were the country was going through a early teenage phase of neoliberalism scented with tv shows full of misogyny and superficiality, meanwhile the country was being privatized and sold. As a metaphor the whole country was the kid falling trying to escape the fascist dictatorship meanwhile being recorded by the still very strong leftovers of it.
